Ultrasound

Ultrasound technology is another diagnostic tool that Miller Animal Hospital offers your pet. It enables our expert veterinarian to peer inside your pet to determine events ranging from pregnancy to locating cysts.

An ultrasound is a noninvasive diagnostic imaging tool that uses harmless sound waves without radiation allowing the doctor to see internal organs. It enables our doctor to visualize the structure and architecture of abdominal organs so she can find any abnormalities that cannot be seen or felt during an examination.

Ultrasound will allow Miller Animal Hospital to diagnose pancreatitis, liver disease, kidney disease, cardiac function and locate possible obstructions if your pet has bitten off more than they can chew. An abdominal ultrasound is most often used to diagnose bladder and kidney stones, abdominal masses, to aid in the assessment of organ function, and to evaluate pregnancies.
